All forms of injustice are interconnected – environmental harm, economic inequality, political exclusion, criminalization, AND MORE. THEY ARE NOT ISOLATED PROBLEMS, BUT RATHER THE RESULT OF shared systems built to concentrate power into the hands of A FEW AT THE EXPENSE OF MANY.
we organize across issue areas, but ground ourselves in the following four core pillar areas. Pillars are distinct but also overlap and reinforce each other.
COMMUNITIES OF CARE
Building safe, equitable, and resilient communities that don’t rely on punitive structures. Goal to reduce harm, support residents, and advance policing and incarceration alternatives using abolition, transformative justice, and mutual aid.

Community-led resource network for food, emergency assistance, etc. to strengthen resilience and reduce reliance on harmful institutions

Supporting reparations for historical injustices and systemic inequities (can look at LV for context).

Advocating for programs that prioritize accountability, conflict resolution, and restorative practices as alternatives to current policing and prison-industrial complex structures. Community-based accountability, healing, etc.
CLIMATE & ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
Across South Jersey, communities are fighting for clean air, safe water, affordable energy, and land use decisions that protect people over industry. Environmental harms disproportionately impact marginalized communities. Something about intersection with racial and economic justice here?
